Register Your Vehicles, Bikes for  2009-10

All motorized vehicles and bikes that you plan to park on the Northern Michigan University campus must be registered with NMU Public Safety.  It’s easy to do online.  Once registered, you’ll receive a decal to display, which is good until August 2010 for all Vehicles. Bicycles only need to be registered once, and are non-expiring. If you can’t register online, stop by Public Safety in the Service Building.  For short-term parking, you’ll need a guest pass. More information and fee costs    Online Registration

Services Building NMU’s Public Safety and Police Services is located in the Services Building. Campus Map
Parked Cars Where can you park with your parking decal?  Check out NMU’s parking map.
Bike If you see a crime happening or know of illegal activity, you can provide information to Public Safety online at Anonymous Crime Tips. To learn more go to Crime Tips.
Police Shield In accordance with state and federal laws, it is mandatory that registered sex offenders taking classes, living or working at NMU report to NMU Public Safety. Michigan Sex Offender Website
Handgun  If you are visiting campus with a weapon and have a concealed weapon permit, you can register and store it at Public Safety and Police Services.

The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a federal law that requires colleges and universities to disclose certain timely and annual information about campus crime and security policies, such as crime statistics, police activities reports and timely crime alert notices.
