| The Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act is a federal law that requires colleges and universities to disclose certain timely and annual information about campus crime and security policies, such as crime statistics, police activities reports and timely crime alert notices. |

This guide is published annually with section 485(i) of the Higher Education Opportunity Act. All currently registered students as well as employees are directly mailed a notice by October 1 of each year that includes a statement of the report's availability, the exact electronic address at which the report is posted, a brief description of the report's contents, and a statement that the institution will provide a paper copy of the report upon request to NMU.
